Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land comes to Android

The turn-based strategy RPG inspired by H.P. Lovecraft is now available for Android. Droid Ftaghn!

Developed by the indie studio Red Wasp Design under the watching gaze of Chaosium, the game features nine 3D levels of madness set in the trenches of World War One.

The game can be downloaded by popping over to Google Play and scrumping up £2.99 ($4.99 or €3.99). You do need Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and OpenGL ES 2.0 and a touchscreen to play. Google Play will tell you whether your device is compatible before you buy.

The game is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and the unspoken language of Yiiiing.

As you would expect from a Call of Cthulhu classic; the key of the game is sanity. As investors begin to uncover the inhumans behind the Great War they may gain skills, weapons and equipment but they may lose their minds. Watch out for barbed wire, mustard gas, machine guns and soul destroying horrors.

If you get stuck in Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land and need cheats, walk-throughs or help then I recommend begging for help in the comment section below. Alternatively, if you’ve mastered the game with your sanity intact – then let’s hear about it.
